Meet your hosts

The people behind the pawprints

We're Nick and Laura, plus Albus, our very enthusiastic Labradoodle, sharing the home we love.

Welcome to our home

We're Nick and Laura, and if you've already spotted the Labradoodle charging toward you, that's Albus.

We met in New Zealand a long time ago and spent the next ten years living across ten different countries before Lapland stopped us in our tracks. Something about the stillness here felt different from everywhere else we'd been. The forests, the silence, the skies. Three years on, we're still not over it.

We opened up four rooms in our home because we wanted to share it, not just the house, but the place. We know where to find the best aurora spots, which trails are worth it in each season, and where locals actually eat. That knowledge is yours if you want it.

This is genuinely our home. You'll have your own space upstairs, but we're around for a coffee, a question, or just to point you in the right direction before you head out into the forest.

Albus doesn't fully grasp the concept of personal space. We've made peace with it.

Between us we speak English, Dutch, German and Polish. Feel free to get in touch in whichever language works best for you.
